IMPRINT
The Spring 2008 Collection works with the idea of imprints. Dreamlike and ethereal elements are mixed together with vivid contrasts through the exploration of color, silhouette and material.
SILHOUETTE
The collection combines exaggerated proportions with a clean, modern sensibility. The emphasis is a deflated volume with a slight romantic feeling balanced against narrow, structured silhouettes with military abstractions.
FABRICS
Natural properties of materials are magnified by treatments such as chintzing, waterproofing, and metallic coating. Extremes are combined to exaggerate textures within the collection, by placing delicate fibers with chunky and treated materials. A superfine cotton rib mixed with chunky linen/ silk mesh, a group of knitted cellophane creates ghost images of the garment outlined with contrasting cashmere trim, dense knits are mixed with delicate cotton voile in unexpected proportions. Each material plays with the idea of the imprint through variations both subtle and exaggerated.
COLORS
The palette consists of a strong range of neutrals and greys accented by cyan blue, canary and marigold orange.
