The cool, confident and free spirited tsesay girl expresses her current obsession with punk rock shoulder pads, lean, long 70's silhouettes in the 2008 pre-fall collection. Guided by the inspiration of nomadic travelers meeting modern day renegades, Pre-fall '08 includes fairisles, jacquards and marled yarns in combination with graphic tie dyes, structured and shrunken shapes, buckles and zippers.
A 70's influence keeps the collection slim, soft and long white nineties-style angular silhouettes form the graphic, harder edge that the tsesay girl looks for in completing her look.

The design gets creative in the evolution of Fall 2008 from Pre-fall. While the 70's remain influential, a 1950's vibe adds nostalgia to the harder edge of the collection. Capes and full skirts add a feminine touch to modern, angular pieces like the one shouldered dress and high shine mini skirt.
The tsesay girl's strong, edgy and experimental personality comes through in Fall 2008 through the collection's graphic plaids and boucle outerwear, twisting and air spun wovens, and soft ruffling silks. Her eclectic style is pulled together through chunky hand knits. Offered as outerwear, dresses, sweaters and layering pieces, the chunky knits tame the sharp shapes and strengthen the soft, draping silhouettes.
