tsesay - fall/winter 2007
The tsesay Pre-Fall and Fall collections are a departure from seasons past. The collections work with a cleaner shape, neutral color palette and the formation of a strong synergy between the knitwear and the wovens. This season, tsesay draws from the silhouettes of the TSE line. This is exposed in a cohesive, modern and youthful interpretation of the TSE brand identity.
The Fall 2007 tsesay collection is composed of softer tones, compelling silhouettes and a bold use of shape. The focus of this collection is the mix of clean updated basics with a strong use of volume. Thus, providing a graphic element to the collection, mixed with texture and subtle sportswear influences.
The tsesay girl finds her long time favorites this season, the t-shirt dress in wool jersey, a new take on a tsesay dress in silk bobble, cropped jackets and skinny pants. The wovens support the knitwear with special pieces, such as the "carrot leg" skinny pant. The dresses are directional, while funnel necks and hoods add a sportswear element to outerwear.
Color plays a less important role this season as shape comes to the forefront. Colors in Pre-Fall include mallard, maroon and squash. Fall colors are more neutral, with highlights of midnight, cloud, thunder, toxic, violet blue and mud.
The story this season is one of transformation. The tsesay girl is clearly defined and this collection works to support her individual style and unique take on fashion trends. She will find a collection that offers her the opportunity to buy into key pieces and to layer on the many facets of her personality.
